The Mountain-Plains Consortium (MPC) conducts research, education and outreach, focusing on the consortium's theme: safe, mobile and sustainable freight and passenger transportation systems in the Mountain-Plains Region.

MPC is a competitively selected university program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation through its Research and Innovative Technology Administration. The consortium includes
