Author Search

Enter all or part of the author's name you are searching for. You can search for their first name, last name, or both.

• Gene will match "Gene" and "Eugene".
• If you are looking for publications by "Gene Griffin", but you are not sure if it's spelled "Griffin" or "Griffen." Just type Griff.

Title Search

Enter all or part of the publication title you are searching for.

• Rural transit will match "Rural Transit and Mobility Research Agenda" and "Techniques for Rural Transit Service Design".
• If you are looking for the publication "Techniques for Rural Transit Service Design", but type Techniques Rural Transit Service Design. No matches will be found.

Publication Number Search

Enter all or part of the publication number you are searching for.

• If you are looking for the publication number "MPC-02-130", type 02-130 in the text box.
• If you are looking for publications that start with "MPC-03", type 03 in the text box.

Publication number formats used for each publication type:

• MPC format: MPC-YY-#

YY being the last two digits of the year published. (2002 = 02, use leading 0)
# being the publication number. (1 - 9999, do not use leading 0s)

Date Search

Specify either before, after or a range between.

• To find publications published before "March 2000", use the before row. Select March from the drop down menu, then enter 2000 in the following text box.
• To find publications published after "January 2002", use the after row. Select January from the drop down menu, then enter 2002 in the following text box.
• To find publications published before "January 2002" and after "March 2000", use the before and after rows. In the "Before" row select January from the drop down menu, then enter 2002 in the following text box. Then in the "After" row select March from the drop down menu, then enter 2000 in the following text box.

Keywords Search

Enter part of publication title or abstract you are searching for.

• Railroad Bridge will match all the publications that has "Railroad Bridge" in the title or abstract.
• If you are looking for the publication about trucks, type the word "Truck" and click search. The search engine will display all the records that has the word "Truck" in the title or abstract.
• If you search for "Road Construction", you will only match publications with the words "Road Construction" in the title or abstract. A match will not be found for the word "Road" by itself.
• Search is not case sensitive. In other words, if you search for "Road" matches will be found for "road" and "Road".
