Abstract
The proposed research serves as complementary study to enhance the pavement design in Wyoming through the characterization of base materials. This research project has the following objectives: a) characterize the properties of local base materials; b) understand the effects of rock type, moisture content, fine content and gradation on base monulus; c) improve base modulus estimations; and d) facilitate the full Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) implementation in the state of Wyoming.
